Today Ron from Wastewise came and talked with us about which buckets to put our rubbish into. We played a game and sorted items into three groups.
We did really well at sorting the items into the correct places.....
composting, recycling or landfill.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed learning some new things from Ron too when we were playing the game. How many points did you manage to score? You might have managed to get more than Room 8! I am sure you will be really mindful of putting "stuff" in the right place.

Mr Riceman......we managed to get 16 points for the game. WE had fun and we know where to put our rubbish, into either paper, compost or landfill.

It was a really good session with Ron wasn't it? I learnt a lot about what I could be doing at home and school. Did you talk to your parents about your Wastewise ideas for home? Maybe in singing this week, we could find a song about the ideas of reusing, recycling and reducing our waste - has anyone got any ideas?

Love that you are all being tidy kiwi's, we are trying to do it at home too, and planning on building our compost bin over the weekend.
