MADDISON'S SPECIAL DAY

Did you know Maddison is a St John Cadet?

She is part of a community group which learns about first aid and the everyday values of being a kind and caring person.
Maddison was part of the Investiture Parade for the Governor General, Sir Jerry Mataparae on Saturday morning.
She was lucky enough to have the Governor General personally talk to her.  How exciting Maddison!

Cecile's Poppa, Dick Weir came to visit us

Today we were treated to Dick Weir's (Cecile's Poppa) magical outstanding storytelling.
We were all captivated and spellbound as he told us the Maori legend 'Rata and the Totara Tree'.
Some of the children had a chance to act as the characters.
Our next traditional tale was  'The Magic Pot', a very old Chinese tale.
Again, some of the children got a chance to act.

Thanks for coming and telling us magical stories.  We loved listening to your Poppa Cecile. Cecile you are so lucky to have such an amazing Poppa who tells captivating stories.
