Celebrating Matariki

Rooms 1, 2, 3 and 4 celebrated Matariki today. 

We started our day with a karakia and a waiata.

All the children were in four mixed groups for all activities. 

Room 1 - making star biscuits 

Room 3 - creating window stars  

Room 3  - singing and raku stick games

Room 4  - creating wheku masks and using ta moko face stencils

We were lucky to have Tia (Kiara's mum) and Shazia (Azlan's mum) helping.
